Don't Judge A Book By Its Cover!!!

We all do it. Sometimes we do it unconsciously. What is it I am talking about? Well my little followers, I am talking about judging. Sometimes, our judgments are innocent and harmless, but others times our judgments can be rude and insulting. For instance, we judge the popular girl. We think she has the perfect life, but in reality she is suffering from bulimia. Another example is when we judge the weird kid in the back of the classroom. We think he is strange and unusual, but we don’t know that he is undergoing painful treatment in order to recover from cancer. I’ve been a victim of judgement as well. People thought I was a bully, but when they got to know me, they found out I’m actually a kind person.

The point is that we shouldn’t assume we can read someone’s life story just by the way he or she looks. I barely know what my life is about, so why should I guess another person’s? An individual’s appearance is just a distraction from who they really are in the inside. They can look like a mean, horrible, awful person, but turn out to be sweet, friendly, helpful, and fun to be with.

So, my loyal followers, I would like you to go out and talk to that kid in the corner or the most popular jock in school. Compare what you thought of the person to what you actually learn about the person. I’m not asking you to be best friends, but a little conversation won’t hurt anybody.

~Love, KitKat~

“Beginning today, treat everyone you meet as if they were going to be dead by midnight. Extend to them all the care, kindness and understanding you can muster, and do it with no thought of any reward. Your life will never be the same again.” ~Og Mandino, American Author
