Hey guys and welcome to blog entry #2. Today I am going to focus on bullying. I witnessed some bullying a couple of days ago and guess what I did? Nothing, zip, nada. I know what some of you might be thinking now, How are you making a blog about helping bullies, the bullied, etc. and you didn’t even do it yourself?. Well if you were in my position, and I am sure a lot of you guys were some point in your life, you can understand that I felt absolutely powerless at the moment. I’m a young teenage girl and there was a huge group of guys; what is a person like me supposed to do? This is my mistake. I could have done numerous things. For example, I could have gone up to the bullied boy and ask if he was okay or maybe warn someone of higher authority. I could have done something.
This is what I want you guys to do. I want you to be the opposite of what I was at that moment. I want you to take action and stand up for others who can’t do so themselves. So please take my advice and don’t have this guilty feeling I am have right now. Be somebody different, somebody who will take a stand for others. That is all I am asking for. Perhaps I won’t be a coward myself and take my own advice but since there are a million people stronger than I am, and since some of them are reading this, I beg you to listen to what I have to say and take it to heart.
Before I end this post, I would like your comment on something. Imagine this, a girl your age is getting bullied because she is slower than everybody else. She gets verbally teased every day and is very lonely. One day, you see her getting bullied again by these groups of boys. What would you do in this situation? I want your answer − not just the right one. Please think of this while in school, work or wherever you are. Until next time, bye everybody!

I would ask the bullies why they are bullying her, you know see what their problem is. Also I like that you experienced a bullying situation not to long ago, next time ask the bullied how they felt or something. :)
ReplyDeleteI would probably try to help her. Nobody should be treated like dirt (can I get an amen)!! Thanks for sharing this with us. Hopefully the boy was ok :)
ReplyDeleteI love it
